German to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Transport / Transportation / Shipping / Railway applications - Locomotives | | German term or phrase: Anstrichzeichnung | This document talks about "Anstrich- und Anschriftenzeichnung", Anstrichzeichnungen and "Kennzeichnungen" and "Beschriftung alternativ".
A) I'm not sure how strongly these terms need to differ (or can be used synonymously)
B) I'm not 100% whether the Anstrichzeichnung is just for the livery (i.e. "livery drawing") or covers the specifications for all painting (although "painting drawing" sounds completely ridiculous to me). |

Where the end customer applies the livery himself, obviously this then applies to primer, or undercoat layers. This avoids the "painting drawings" you so rightly reject!
The Anschriftenzeichnung would be the lettering diagram, or layout of markings, etc. Yes, they do need to be differentiated. |
