German term or phrase: Termingeschäft
While I am aware of the financial meaning of this word, I have come across it in a text about a freight forwarding company:

"Durch unsere Zusammenarbeit mit ... können wir Ihnen einen persönlichen und individuellen Service garantieren - auch bei kurzfristigen Termingeschäften."

I would suggest "forwarding contracts" as a translation -- but does anyone have a better idea?

I like short better in this context, and Kim got deadlines in there first.

disagree  Steffen Walter: Aber "future" passt hier nicht - das ist ja gerade der (hier wohl irrelevante) Finanzmarktbegriff. / Wieso Optionsscheine? Hier geht es doch allem Anschein nach um reale Warenlieferungen (siehe Kontextangabe "freight forwarding").

  -> Welche Optionsscheine werden geliefert und wie übersetze ich "zukünftige (Aus-) Lieferung"? Futures sind zum Beispiel Optionsscheine, ansonsten sehe ich in meiner Antwort keinen finanzwirtschaftlichen Zusammenhang.
