What does PST mean? Is Fehlmaterial missing material or faulty material?

Kanban PS, Kanban PC
Explanation:
Unfortunately there isn't a lot of context. Your text may be related to what is described here: http://www.heilind.com/valueadded.asp. A Kanban system is an auto-replenishment system. If material is missing on the production floor, new material is ordered automatically. This occurs when the available material falls below preset safety stocks. Thus, "Fehlmaterial" should be "missing material".
PST might stand for "Produktionssteuerung". This abbrevation is used in a presentation on logistics on page 12: http://logistics.de/logistik/branchen.nsf/901E6A0F65159FB1C1...$File/bornewasser.pdf
"Produktionssteuerung" literally translates to "production control (PC)", but "production scheduling (PS)" seems to be the more common term. The following link describes Kanban as a system for production scheduling: http://www.leanvelocity.ca/Content.cfm?C=6681&SC=1&SCM=1&MI=...

Oops - second links doesn't work: http://logistics.de/logistik/branchen.nsf/901E6A0F65159FB1C1...$File/bornewasser.pdf

The system doesn't seem to like the $ character in hyperlinks. You can google for "Logistik-Prozessketten von einem Fertigungsstandort im Ausland" to find the document.

neutral Johannes Gleim: Is PST guessed? I see no link to the subject.

-> yes, PST is up in the air. I am guessing that the missing Kanban material is computerized and thus part of a pst file system.
