knows what he's talking about ? No, I don't mean to be rude but I have encounterted this sort of thing often and it never meant what he is saying - unless he wrote it and expressed himself really badly.

You lift boxes (semis, containers.... using cranes/gantries/spreaders..).
Plane are sheets or tarpaulins but here are the fabric sides of HGV (you must have seen them on the roads) and are called curtain sides as a rule. Normally, because they have soft sides and weaker frames, crane handling is not always an option.

Looked at your link - I don't think we would use "crane-mountable" in English from what I saw there - crane-handlable (if the word exists) would be closer. Crane-liftable. "mountable" means that you can mount it or assemble it on something

It looks as if "kranbar" is used to decribe two different things when it comes to loading trucks: a) crane-mountable: meaning the cargo area is accessible for loading by a crane and b) as ploglot45 suggests, meaning that the the entire "cargo-holding unit" can be lifted by a crane from the bed. I think in you case it might actually be "crane-mountable".

Where did you get it ?
Because, for me, they mean a 40 t curtain-sided truck (or tautliner) that can be lifted by crane or gantry (or even spreader)
