this is my take after looking at several photos, I didn't find a direct translation.

The form is more spindle-like than spider-like, and when google translates it with spider, it has to be wrong! "Shaft" or "mandril" are also alternatives. A laundry spindle comes to mind.....

Asker: How do you arrive at spindle? Just because it sounds a bit like Spinne? Sorry, but I'm not convinced.
