That is what I understood from the Italian entry too, but wasn't initially convinced - I was looking for something more specific to logistics/transport. The responses here seem pretty clear. So I think "internal mail" will be a fine translation. Thanks for the help!!

I agree with Brigitte and Jutta
This is simply an "internal mail (delivery) service" and the use of "Fuhre" (i.e. "load" or "truck load") in this context suggests that mail is transferred between different locations by truck or other vehicle (courier car, bike etc.).

any kind of mail going via truck (not the post office) from the subsidiary to HQ and vice versa

one thing that I'm pretty sure about is that it's the mail (Post) that the truck drivers are supposed to take. I suppose it's the mail sent by driver vs. the regular postal service.
