German to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Transport / Transportation / Shipping / Materialdisposition
German term or phrase: verschoben
Was versteht man in diesem Zusammenhang unter "verschoben" ?

deferred

Explanation:
verschoben also means 'shifted' in the sense of not being level.This, however, is normally used in a physical sense. The theoretical sense, to which I think is meant here, more applicable would be 'deferred'. Thus, the sentence could be translated as,,,,,,made on a basis of deferred gross-value lists.

disagree Ralf A. Schumacher: Of course, "verschieben" has various meanings, and "defer" is surely one of them, but according to http://dict.leo.org/ende?lp=ende&p=ziiQA&search=defer&trestr... in a temporal sense, synonymously w/ "postpone".

verschoben (material handling, transport, logistics)
moved, transferred, shifted, relocated

Explanation:
In material handling, "(etw. von A nach B) verschieben" simply means to "move (sth. from A to B)".
As a note on the side, in more common context (apart from logistics), "verschieben" often has the negative connotation of moving sth. illegally, such as in "Beute verschieben", i.e. "move away (or: illegally sell) stolen goods".

Example sentence(s):
 • "Wir verschieben Ihr Material von A nach B. Oder wohin auch immer Sie wollen." (from 2nd weblink below)
