German term or phrase: verblomen
Hello,

I'm not even sure I'm asking for the correct verb here, sorry. The sentence is "Mein Fahrzeug ist vor der Einschiffung nach England kontrolliert, verzollt und verblomt worden wie es nach Einreisevorschrift verlangt wird".

I've looked everywhere and have come across this word used in other sentences such as "Nur die Motoren sind verblomt". I just don't have a clue what it means!

Thanks in advance,

Joanne

as to translation into English, maybe "to seal" will be appropiate

neutral  Klaus Herrmann: I bet some European standard puts a ban on using lead for sealing... Making use of the new [edit] function - yes, I wanted this to be a neutral.
