German to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Transport / Transportation / Shipping / Safety Cabinet Operating Instructions
German term or phrase: Sicherheitstechniken
"Ein Beschädigen der Stellfüße, durch Abscheren mit Hubwagen, o. ä. und ein Verkanten beim Aufnehmen für den Transport ist unbedingt zu vermeiden. Durch ein Verkanten sind Beschädigungen möglich, die die Funktionen der eingebauten ***Sicherheitstechniken*** einschränken bzw. zerstören."

Sicherheitstechnik seems to often mean safety engineering, but that clearly doesn't fit here. I suppose "safety technologies" is a possibility, but that seems a little out of place in a manual somehow. I wonder about "safety features" or maybe "safety systems". TIA for your assistance.

I think I'll go with "safety features" for the plural, but following Robert's suggestion, will use "safety mechanism" for the later examples in the singular. If I could, I'd split the points three ways here between SwissTell, Ingrid and Robert (the latter for his notes rather than his answer!). Thanks again everyone for your assistance.

Also a bit overblown, but I think it would work here.
