German to English translations [PRO]
Transport / Transportation / Shipping / abbreviation
German term or phrase: loko
Not sure if this is a typo or whether it means something specific. The text is Swiss German:
... für bilaterale Verkehre zwischen xxx (Land) und yyy (Land) loko.

Perhaps it means "local" or "all localities" or ....
Anyone met this before?

It has nothing to do with "locomotives" for sure

English translation:locally
Explanation:
you're right, it means something like local, locally.

We use this in Romanian e.g. for snail mail (loco means you need a stamp for the same city where you are)

I am translating a financial text into Romanian and while looking for a term, I stumbled across \"loco\" in my En-Ro financial dico

according to that (the definition is in Romanian, so I am attempting a backtranslation)

loco - term used on the commodity market to designate the place where a goods transaction occurs (e.g. tin can be dealt with \"loco\" London)
