German term or phrase: Übernahmeorgan
Austrian "Einkaufsbedingungen". I'm assuming this means the "goods inwards department" but wonder if it could simply mean "the person accepting the goods on behalf of the Customer".

Any thoughts?

If it\'s a service (or if you\'re not sure), use \"receiving party\". That covers all the bases.

Also helps you avoid the quandry of needing a \"goods inwards dept.\" if there aren\'t any goods...

Yep, good, Jeff - went for "receiving party" (I think) in the end - as there was a possibility it meant services, too.
