II-1.2.2 La nécessité d'une analyse et d'une justification régulière des comptes en cours d'année

Ces travaux d'analyse et de justification des comptes en cours d'année sont essentiels. Ils permettent d'assurer la maîtrise des comptes de l'entreprise et contribuent à la production d'états fiables, de détecter rapidement des erreurs, omissions ou fraudes commises et d'établir dans les délais raisonnables, des états de fin d'année. Il est important de rappeler que le solde après justification d'un compte doit être contrôlé au niveau du contrôle interne de l'entreprise (par exemple le solde d'un compte client avec la situation de ce client par le service de recouvrement) et au niveau externe par la confirmation du solde par le tiers concerné. Les différentes étapes de la justification des comptes par les services comptables peuvent être résumées comme suit :

- analyse et justification des soldes des comptes à une date donnée,

- rapprochement du solde justifié avec les données des services opérationnels

(Service achat, administratif, commercial, de production),

- demande de confirmation de solde auprès des tiers (clients, fournisseurs, État).
