Chambre prototype
Pour autant, les choses ne sont pas restées en l'état. Une chambre prototype a été réalisée au printemps dernier dans l'aile nord. Destinée à permettre aux entreprises soumissionnant de se caler sur les exigences de l'architecte Jacques Cholet, du cabinet parisien DTACC. Des tonalités sobres, rouge, gris taupe, bois et déco reprenant un tableau ancien du musée des Beaux-Arts de Nantes : cette chambre prototype joue la carte du haut de gamme. Patrick Mareschal, le président du conseil général de Loire-Atlantique l'a d'ailleurs visitée avant les vacances. Sollicité il n'a pas souhaité s'exprimer. Le Département souhaite particulièrement cadrer sa communication sur le dossier.
L'hôtel de luxe comportera 142 chambres sur quatre niveaux. Il sera ouvert plus largement sur la place Aristide-Briand avec la création d'un parvis.
