Es werden mindestens drei Proben aus Kett- und Schussrichtung, bzw. Länge und Breite geprüft.
Die Probestreifen sind auf (50 + 1) mm Breite und mindestens 160 mm Länge zuzuschneiden, bei gewebten Polsterstoffen jedoch auf 55 mm Breite (diese Probe wird beidseitig bis 50 mm Breite ausgeriffelt).
