Im Bereich der beruflichen Vorsorge ist der Sicherheitsfonds BVG die Informations- und Verbindungsstelle für den Kontakt zu den Sozialversicherungsbehörden der EU- und EFTA-Länder. Reist eine Person in einen dieser Staaten aus, so kann sie für die Abklärung der Sozialversicherungspflicht mit dem Sicherheitsfonds BVG Kontakt aufnehmen und wird über das weitere Vorgehen informiert.
Untersteht die Person im Ausreiseland nicht der staatlichen Sozialversicherung, so kann die Vorsorgeeinrichtung das gesamte Guthaben aus beruflicher Vorsorge bar auszahlen.

neutral  Olivier Blanc: Oui, mais je dirais plutôt: pays où la personne s'installe. En effet, il peut s'agir d'une personne qui rentre dans son pays après avoir vécu en Suisse. Ce n'est donc pas une expatriation.
