German term or phrase: Ansprüche auf Arbeitsentgelt verpfänden

Hallo,

ich bin total verzweifelt. Ich habe da einen Satz und ich habe KEINE Ahnung, wie man den übersetzt:
"Anspruche auf Arbeitsentgelt dürfen ohne die vorherige schriftliche Zustimmung des Arbeitsgebers nicht abgetreten oder verpfändet werden. Herr ... verpflichtet sich, dem Arbeitsgeber etwaige Entgeltpfändungen unverzüglich anzuzeigen."
Wie übersetzt man das Verb "verpfänden" in bezug auf Ansprüche auf Arbeitentgelt?
Der Abschnitt im Arbeitsvertag heisst : "Entgeltbatretung und -verpfändung, Pfändung".
