German term or phrase: Schnipsel
"Das kann ein selbst aufgenommenes Geräusch sein, oder ein ***Schnipsel aus Dutzenden.***"

Le texte parle d'un musicien techno qui retravaille des sons ou des bruits pour en faire des morceaux de musique. Le "das" se réfère aux sons d'origine.

Je comprends : ". Ce peut être aussi bien un bruit qu’il a enregistré lui-même qu’un mix d’une dizaine de sons"

mais j'ai peur de faire un contre-sens.

Pour information, j'ai mis "dizaine" et non pas "douzaine" car plus répandu en français pour exprimer la quantité.

Merci d'avoir répondu. J'ai finalement opté pour "fragment", "extrait" n'étant pas approprié dans un texte musical, où le mot "extrait" apparaît déjà souvent.
