Wenn es sich um Ölfarben handelt: Es gibt verschiedene weiße Ölfarben, die bekanntesten sind Zinkweiß und Titanweiß, es gibt aber auch das sogenannte "Mischweiß" hier eine Erklärung:

E’ un pigmento di origine inorganica, minerale e sintetica, si tratta di ossido di zinco e carbonato basico di piombo. Si fabbrica mescolando bianco d'argento e bianco di zinco. E' solubile in acqua ma si altera a contatto con i solfuri. Ha un buon potere coprente e si può utilizzare nella tempera, nell'olio ed encausto. Sconsigliato per l'affresco.

Formula chimica: ZnO + 2PbCO3* Pb(OH)2
