"Auf der **Lesespur** befinden sich kleine Segmente, die unterschiedlich nach Nord- und Südpol magnetisiert sind. Wenn sich das Radlager dreht, laufen diese Segmente dicht an dem aktiven Sensor vorbei. Da sich Nord- und Südpole auf der Lesespur abwechseln, entsteht so ein Rechtecksignal, dessen Frequenz ein Maß für die Drehzahl ist."
