questa, pur conservando l'***ipotesi degli stadi di sviluppo***, sostenne che i prodotti culturali erano dovuti a precisi fattori politico-economici (secondo gli indirizzi di É. Durkheim ampliati poi dagli studiosi d'ispirazione marxista), indipendenti dall'evoluzione sociale del gruppo in causa ma trasmettibili in seguito alle vicende storiche dei vari popoli (teoria dei cicli culturali).
