"Behälter mit brennbaren Gasen und bewegten Feststoffen / Stäuben werden üblicherweise entweder druckstossfest gebaut oder mit Stickstoff *überlagert*"
Sul dizionario monolingue per "überlagern" oltre a "sovrapporre" si dà anche "schichtartig bedecken": si può trattare di un isolamento con gas inerti (azoto)? |

Nessuno che possa confermare la traduzione di "überlagert" con "inertizzato" (si avvicinerebbe anche al suggerimento di Felice)

Si tratta proprio di inertizzazione - in "dirittura d'arrivo" quasi alla fine del testo,l'argomento viene ripreso e riformulato "Aus diesem Grund sind zusätzliche Schutzmassnahmen erforderlich (z.B. Druckstossfeste Bauweise; Inertisierung)". L'uso del termine "Überlagern" cioè "sovrapposizione" è dovuto al fatto che il gas inerte (azoto) viene introdotto "al di sopra del pelo libero del liquido infiammabile" (comeho trovato in un doc in rete)
