Sie ist die ideale Küche für kleine aber langgestreckte Grundrisse, für offen gestaltete Wohnungen oder für behagliche Wohnküchen, in denen sie eine Wand einnimmt und der Familie genug Raum für einen grosszügigen Essbereich bietet. Sie bedarf der wohldurchdachten Planung von Arbeitsfläche und Stauraum, damit diese nicht zu kurz kommen. Extrahohe Wandschränke, Platz sparende Aufbewahrungs- und Mülltrennsysteme sowie Ein- und Umbaugeräte helfen, alles Wichtige ebenso funktional wie hygienisch unterzubringen. Es empfiehlt sich, zwischen Spüle und Herd eine lange Arbeitsfläche einzuplanen, um den Küchenalltag so mühelos wie möglich zu bestreiten.
