Ho riguardato la tua domanda... Per la confusione: "Molatura" è un termine generale che può essere specificato secondo il tipo di molatura (che è poi una rettifica): per la prima fase (con molta asportazione di materiale: "sgrossatura", per la fase successiva con impiego di utensili diversi e meno asportazione di materiale: "finitura". Dunque, il tutto è molatura o rettifica (io preferisco rettifica perché specifica la tecnologia e non l'utensile; importante soprattutto parlando delle singole fasi che sono dunque (mi ripeto) sgrossatura e finitura.
