  -> certo, valore è il significato base; ciò nonostante manterrei il significato insito in "halten" mantenere, conservare, preservare (lo si dice pure per i valori morali..)

  -> ein bißchen fließen die zwei Bedeutungen irgendwie ineinander - klar ist 'tenere' ist das Stammwort sowohl für mantenere (also 'stabilità' 'tenuta' del v.) che per contenere ('intrinseco'). Die Kollegin wird sich schon fürs Passendste entscheiden können..
