The FACT GmbH (Future Advanced Composites & Technology), Kaiserslautern/Germany, founded in1998 manufactures long fibre reinforced plastics, predominantly with polypropylene (PP) or polyamide (PA) as matrix material, using patented production processes. Other matrix systems, e.g. polyethylene (PE), acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer (ABS), styrene-acrylonitrile copolymers (SAN), polyphenylene sulphide (PPS) or polyacrylate (PAA) are also available. The rod shaped pellets with the trade name FACTOR® are versatile lightweight materials with an attractive rigidity-to-weight ratio. These are generally further processed by moulding manufacturers using injection moulding or compression technology.

Il processo dovrebbe essere quello dello stampaggio a compressione:
STAMPAGGIO DEL PRODOTTO
REX dispone di sistemi di stampaggio a compressione, a iniezione e transfert. La linea di stampaggio a compressione dispone di oltre 30 presse, in grado di raggiungere una potenza di chiusura di 6000 kN con una superficie massima di 800 x 1600 mm e per un volume illimitato, mentre la linea di iniezione può contare su presse in grado di raggiungere i 4000 kN di chiusura e produrre un volume di iniezione pari a 4 dm3.
