Come già detto prima, Buhl è effettivamente una ditta che costruisce cosidetti "otturatori" (automatici e manuali).

Si tratta normalmente di grossi perni movimentati da un motore elettrico o, manualmente, tramite una leva che vengono inseriti in apposite sedi per fermare in sicurezza determinate parti mobili di un'attrezzatura.

La Comau li chiama "otturatori BUHL".
