La frase dice all'incirca: ci sarebbe piaciuto venire a trovarvi... "aber es wollte sich nicht tun lassen". Mi serve possibilmente una traduzione letteraria, anche aulica. Grazie a tutti. |

Capisco che non sia una versione "colloquiale", ma trattandosi di letteratura, potrebbe essere forse una soluzione.
Oppure, "ma ciò non fu possibile"......una versione meno aulica!
