Ho qualche dubbio sulla resa qui: mi verrebbe: "Probabilmente ha ragione..." che ne pensate?
Freud schrieb Einstein: Sie dürften Recht haben, wir wissen so viel über das Unbewusste des Menschen, dass es möglich wäre, solche schreckliche Ereignisse wie Krieg [...] auf ihre unbewusste Motive zurückzuführen, doch Gottes Mühlen mahlen bekanntlich langsam...ed è triste pensare a mulini che macinano talmente adagio che la gente muore di fame prima di ricevere la farina.
però, la mia lettura è che: dovrebbe è la traduzione più corretta. Esprime una possibilità molto maggiore rispetto a potrebbe. Secondo me è un po' il contrario di quello che dici tu. Il problema maggiore ce l'abbiamo noi, a tradurre il dürfen, che non esiste in italiano, per cui qui traducono anche con "potrebbe" perché non abbiamo un corrispettio (a parte dovrebbe che però vuol dire anche altre cose).
c (im 2. Konjunktiv: es ist wahrscheinlich, dass...) das dürfte schwierig für ihn werden questo potrebbe (o dovrebbe) essere difficile per lui; es dürfte bald regnen dovrebbe piovere presto

capire meglio l'uso del verbo, per cui ho postato la domanda tedesco-tedesco. Guardate le "immediate" risposte. Dunque era più corretta la mia resa (probabilmente ha ragione)...

Secondo me "potrebbe" è più neutrale, non possiamo rafforzare né il fatto che abbia più ragione o meno ragione, ovvero spingere il giudizio in una direzione o nell'altra. Almeno, questa è l'impressione che mi suggerisce il testo originale. Grazie per tutti i Vostri commenti. Marina
