Schwarz liegt im Mittelton um 3%, in der Tiefe um 2% höher.

Il problema è che su dizionario Polygraph trovo "nero" per Tiefe e quindi la traduzione non mi quadra più.

Non capisco bene il contesto.
Comunque in italiano si parla di "scale di grigio" tra il bianco e il nero dove in tedesco si parla di Mitteltone tra "luce" e "profondità" nel senso di buio"!!!???
in internet trovo:
Tonwerte zwischen"Licht" (Weiß) und"Tiefe" (Schwarz), wobei die da- zwischen liegenden Tonwerte Mitteltöne genannt werde
