E' quella mattonella decorata stretta e lunga che forma una cornice e che normalmente viene posta ad una certa altezza, ma talvolta anche sulla base, per separare varie fasce di rivestimento, magari con mattonelle orientate in modo diverso (es. prima fascia con mattonelle posate in verticale + fila di listello + fascia di mattonelle posate in obliquo + altro listello.
Se invece ci si riferisce a quella più stretta, monocolore e più bombata, si chiama matita e ha più o meno la stessa funzione.

Tutta questa cultura in fatto di rivestimenti mi viene dal fatto che sto per cambiare casa e ho scelto le mattonelle dei bagni questa settimana!
