Aus der DE ... ist eine in sich abgesohiossene Schmelzlotsicherung bekannt, die aus einem Isolierteil mit elektrischen Anschlüssen und Kentaktelementcn zur Herstellung ames elektrischen Kontaktcs zwisohcn den Ansohlüssen und dem zu siohernden Heizelement, einer Wärmeübertragungsplatte, einem in einer Hülse angeordneten Schmelzloteinsatz als thermischen Auslöser sowie einem teilweise in die Hulse eingesteckten Ubertragungsstift besteht, der mit seinem einen Ende mit dem auf der Wdrmeübertragungsplatte ruhenden Schmelzloteinsatz und mit seinem anderen Ende mit den Kontaktelementen in Eingriff steht.

Dispositivo di protezione che interrompe un circuito in caso di sovraccarico. Consta di un conduttore filiforme o lamellare, corto e sottile, tarato per surriscaldarsi (e quindi rompersi) qualora sia attraversato da un flusso di corrente eccedente il suo valore nominale (in ampere).

Funktion
Bei einem Brand in der unmittelbaren Nähe der TAE ist dieses der direkten Flammeneinwirkung oder den heißen Gasen mit Temperaturen über 70°C ausgesetzt. Die "Schmelzsicherung" verflüssigt sich und die unter Spannung stehende Schließfeder kann sich teilweise entspannen. Hierbei wird der Dichtkegel auf seinen Sitz gezogen oder gepresst. Der Gasdurchfluss ist geschlossen.

"Die Armatur schließt nur thermisch". Das Schmelzlot liegt im Innern eines Stützkreuzes.
