Da das GENIUS-HD-Gerät (wenn überhaupt) in erster Linie auf den Kinder-Intensivstationen eingesetzt werden soll (statt CVVH) sollte das neue Schlauchsystem so aussehen:
- Mit einem arteriellen Ausgleichsgefäß.
- Mit einer arteriellen Druckmessung.
- Runde Venenkammer mit Sieb. Das dadurch etwas höhere Volumen des Systems wird als „kleineres Übel“ (im Vergleich zum Koagel-Transfer) angesehen.
