"molatura" sicuramente no. qui si tratta di rodare le "pastiglie" con almeno una superfice di lavoro/contatto dell'85%.
cioè: le pastiglie nuove devono fare questo rodaggio in modo garantire poi la massima presa in caso di frenata (e spesso durante il rodaggio sono anche piuttosto rumorose).
io tradurrei "rodaggio"
