Ich habe es in Wahrig und auch in Duden versucht aufzufinden, aber ohne Erfolg. Die Frage ist entstanden, weil dieses Verb im Roman von Erwin Strittmatter im folgenden Satz benutzt worden ist - Er steckte heimlich Geld ein und rackste in die Stadt. Das Verb bedeutet sowiel vie schnell laufen oder rennnen, aber woher kommt es? |

Das Wort gibt es wirklich, im Deutschen Woerterbuch der Brueder Grimm wird es (auch die Variante 'rackern') als "sich kümmerlich abarbeiten", "sich abquälen bei einer schweren arbeit" gedeutet. Ich frag mich nur und bin mir nicht sicher, ob es ins Bild passt.
