Aus der Beschreibung einer Hobelmaschine:

In dem Maschinenständer sind mehrere, mindestens vier, Messerwellen eingebaut. Hinter dem Einlauf ist die untere horizontale Abrichtwelle, dann folgen rechts und links hintereinander senkrecht die Fügewelle und die Breitenwelle.
