Deshalb sollte Polen in gemeinsamer Anstrengung eine neue Chance eröffnet werden: eine europäische Bibliothek auf polnischem Boden. In sie könnten die Stücke von gesamteuropäischer Dignität aufgenommen werden: die Autographen von Mozart, Beethoven und Kant etwa. Ausgehend von einem solchen Konzept ließen sich dann vielleicht auch Verständnis und politischer Wille dafür schaffen, unverändert deutsche Stücke Deutschland zu übergeben – wie zum Beispiel den Autograph Hoffmann von Fallerslebens mit dem Text unserer Nationalhymne. – Aber wie auch immer: all' das erfordert auf beiden Seiten viel Geduld, verantwortliches Verständnis für Sensibilitäten und guten Willen bei Deutschen und bei Polen.
