O conjunto todo de peças movimentadas apresenta um padrão "senoidal", com os pistões sendo posicionados a diferentes alturas, conforme a posição do Kurvenbahn.

(Bild M.219) Zwei Zylinderblöcke mit je vier, sechs oder acht im Kreis koaxial angeordneten Zylindern sind zu einer Einheit verschraubt. je zwei sich gegenüberliegende Kolben sind miteinander verbunden und greifen mit Rollen an der sinusförmigen Kurvenbahn an. Diese dreht sich unter den Kolbenkräften weg und treibt die Abtriebswelle an. Koaxial-konzentrisch angeordnete Zylinder ergeben kompakte leistungsstarke Antriebe mit geringer Stirnfläche. In einer solchen Triebwerkskonfiguration sah man in den 1920 er und 1930 er Jahren eine aussichtsreiche Alternative zu herkömmlichen Flugzeug-Triebwerken.
