German to Portuguese translations [PRO]

Entliess ihre Ärzte
und begab sich die Augen
den himmel zugemand
der Meditation hin.
o zugemand eu realmente não achei e aceito sugestões para a frase inteira. Estou em dúvida tb sobre o sentido do begab. Parece ser "sich begeben" mas com akk? Só conheço sich an, auf, nach ou zu etw begeben, ou impessoal, ou com dativo... imagino q o sentido possa ser: "begab sich die Augen der Meditation hin".
Vou colocar outra pergunta no KudoZ sobre isso.
De qualquer forma, continuo sem entender o "den himmel (está realmente em minúscula) zugemand".
Será que é erro de ortografia, e o verbo certo seria mahnen? Mesmo assim faz pouco sentido para mim... |

Explanation:
ich bin sicher, dass es sich hiebei um einen Druckfehler handelt!
Daher würde ich dies als "zugewandt" übersetzen, d.h. "zugewandt" mit dt!!! voltado oder "em direção"!!!
