Tech/Engineering - Materials (Plastics, Ceramics, etc.) | | German term or phrase: PE-Sinterglas | Название материала. Встречается в таком контексте: рассеиватели светильников выполнены из PE-Sinterglas. Сложность в том, что это один материал, а не полиэтилен или спеченное стекло.

Прозрачность спеченого полиэтилена зависит от добавок. Никто не мешает делать из него плафоны любого цвета, тем более что он оч. прочный и небьющийся. Glas тут по аналогии, так как светильники все же, все привыкли, что там стекло.
