German to Slovak translations [Non-PRO]

ich habe hier folgendes Problem:
Unsere slowakischen Kollegen haben "Slowakisch" (als Bezeichnung der slowakischen Sprache in einer Bedienungsanleitung - Sprachreiter oben rechts) als "Slovenčina" übersetzt.
Nun meinte die Kundin, es müsse aber "Slovensky" heißen.
Laut meinen Recherchen ist die von uns verwendete Bezeichnung ("Slovenčina") absolut korrekt, denn es müsste bei "Slovensky" eigentlich "Slovenský Jazy" heißen, weil "slovensky" eigentlich ein Adjektiv ist.
Ich habe nun folgende Fragen:
1. Welche Form ist besser/korrekter?
2. Welche Bezeichnung ist in Handbüchern (isoliert oben rechts als so genannter Reiter) allgemein üblich?
