Der Kopfbolzen (zB. Nelson-Kopfbolzen, Köco-Kopfbolzen oder andere Fabrikate) ist die im Stahlverbundbau gängigste Verankerungsart. Dabei wird durch die „pilzförmige“ Konstruktion des Ankers ein guter Verbund vom Stahlteil zum angrenzenden Beton und somit eine Kraftübertragung erreicht.
Die Verankerung bzw. Verbindung von Stahlteilen mittels angeschweißter Kopfbolzen ist gemäß der allgemeinen bauaufsichtlichen Zulassung des deutschen Instituts für Bautechnik zu dimensionieren.
