Soweit ich es kenne, sagt man hier in Spanien CON und laut Link von RAE, siehe unten, steht dort auch CON. Ich denke also, dass es so richtig ist. Siehe Link: "la cantidad de mil doscientos treinta y cuatro euros con veinticinco céntimos" wäre also 1234,25 Euro (con veinticinco céntimos)

I want to apologize for writing to you in spanish. It's just because of Arrigo's answer, that I realized my mistake. Sorry. What I said is, that in my opinion "con" is more spoken spanish. "Y" is, according to what I have always heard in Spain, always right. I do not agree with the statement that "y" is told in Southern America and "con" in Spain. As Helena said, in Spain you will almost invariably hear "con" when they tell you the price of something, but this is rather colloquial and not usual in written text. If it's, say, € 8.50, they will always say "ocho con cincuenta", just like they say "eight fifty" in English. So it depends on your text... if it's a contract you can use "y", if it's two people talking on the street "con" may be appropriate. In this case (given the amount of 31K) I'd use "y".

Noch etwas zu "con" und "y" - Mir wurde mitgeteilt, dass man in Spanien "con" sagt, aber in Südamerika heißt es "y" - das nur noch zur allgemeinen Klärung.

... y se me ocurre pensar, los que dudan de la mucha razón que a mi entender tiene Teresa, que vean la TV el próximo martes, día 22 entre las 9 y las 12: Los niños del Colegio de San Ildefonso lo cantan muy alto y muy claro... ¡Sobre todo cuando cantan los 500 millones!!! del premio gordo de la Lotería Nacional. en espanol se dice euros y con minúscula, al igual que se hacía antes con las pesetas o los marcos. No se puede decir treinta y una mil peseta/euro/marco/dólar......Todos en plural, por favor.

No entiendo el porqué: Igual que "antiguamente" ;o)) decíamos 40 pesetas (y no peseta). Eso se dejaba para el singular: "La bolsa de pipas cuesta una peseta"... En fin, ya veremos. Un saludo, Helena

Sí, y también he oído muchas veces "XY euros con AB céntimos". Pero creo que es coloquial y no está (aún) aceptado por la RAE.Por desgracia no encuentro ninguna página que lo cuente, pues todo lo que veo es de programación. Un saludo, Helena
