Greek term or phrase: ταπείνωση της ερυθράς
I'm not sure what is meant by the phrase ταπείνωση της ερυθράς. See, for example:

Όσο για τις μειοψηφίες, διαφώνησαν με τη μελέτη σε αρκετά σημεία, ενώ άπαντες συμφώνησαν ότι πρέπει να γίνει «ταπείνωση της ερυθράς» και να χαμηλώσει το ύψος στην περιοχή της Αγίας Άννας.

lowering of the centre line
Explanation:
'ερυθρά' is the technical term corresponding to the road's centre line. In coloured road profiles it is usually portrayed in red colour, hence the name 'ερυθρά'. So, what the phrase actually means is that they all agree that the road axis must be lowered at a specific region.

...in the explanation, by 'region' I meant 'section' of the road.

Hi Dylan, if you do pick my answer, can you make sure that it is posted under construction or engineering so that I can finally get some kudoz in my main field of specialization. Thanks for that... (I keep answering engineering oriented questions which are listed under any other subject area you can imagine...)

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks. They are talking a lot about pollution etc. in this section of the text, which is generally "environmental", so I wasn't sure what subject area this should be.
