'payable tax according to income tax bracket' or 'income tax bracket' (depending on source text)

Explanation:
Does the original text refer to the payable tax according to income tax bracket, or is it referring simply to the income tax bracket itself? I believe that this is the most important question. If it is the first case, then I would opt for something like 'payable tax according to income tax bracket' (although it may sound bulky and awkward, and may indeed be inaccurate as far as taxation terminology is concerned). If it is the second case, then I would have to say 'income tax bracket'.
