Greek term or phrase:

Some ideas for a good way of putting this in English?
Thanks

Go to the following reverse dictionary and search for "γόνος". It will display a list of words ending in -γόνος, which might give you some ideas about how "εγκληματογόνος" could be translated.

disagree  D. Harvatis: I don't think that a source "induces" something. I would prefer "crime-producing source".

-> A (re-)source can't induce but it can produce? Why is that? Search for "stress-inducing source" on the Web. Isn't it a valid expression, you think?

I prefer this to, say, "source of crime".

Πιο απλά: a source of criminality

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thank you for the suggestions. I think "source of criminality" could perhaps be used here.
