Τους είπα να μην στενοχωριούνται που είναι αιχμάλωτοι γιατί ο Ελληνικός στρατός θεωρεί τον αιχμάλωτο ιερό πρόσωπο και ότι θα περάσουν καλά στον τόπο μας. Δεν φανταζόμουν εκείνη την ώρα πως ύστερα από λίγα εικοσιτετράωρα θα είμεθα εμείς στη θέση τους και αυτοί στη δική μας.

Explanation:
Όταν λέει ιερό πρόσωπο, προφανώς εννοεί ότι τυγχάνουν ιδιαίτερης μεταχείρισης και προστασίας, αλλά σε καμία περίπτωση δεν σημαίνει ότι ο αιχμάλωτος "αγιοποιείται" ή "καθοσιώνεται", για να χρησιμοποιήσουμε τις λέξεις sacred ή holy.

Inviolable είναι καλύτερη εναλλακτική για το συγκεκριμένο context. Ή μεταφορικά "sacrosanct".

Το "holy" έχει περισσότερο να κάνει με το «καθαγιασμένο», με το θεϊκό. Εδώ η έννοια είναι περισσότερο αυτή του σεβασμού προς κάποιον/κάτι, παρά η θεϊκότητά του.
