"Kai" means "Which, Where"; "Chhe" means "Is / Are"; "Kai Chhe" means "Where is/are".
Explanation:
"Kai" means "Which, Where", "Chhe" means "Is", "Kai Chhe" means "Where is".

e.g.
1) "Tu kai Chhe?" -> Where are you?
2) "Kai Train Manchester Jay Chhe?" -> Which bus goes to Manchester?
3) "Chhokri Kai Gai?" -> Where did the girl go?

"Kai" also means "Kayo" -> Which
4) "Kayo Chhokro Nasi Gayo?" -> Which boy ran away?

If you say, "kaik" means something
5) Mane Kaik Khavu Chhe -> I want to eat something

If you say, "kyank" means somewhere
6) "Me Kyank Te Pankhi Joyu Hatu" -> I had seen that birdie somewhere.

Actually, "KYAN" in Gujarati to mean for WHERE (of English) is written by adding a full stop over last Gujarati letter of word "KYA" otherwise it reads like KYA (or KAYA) in Gujarati to mean WHICH (of English).

E.g.
Kya (Kaya), Kayu, Kai => Which
Kyan, Kai => Where
Konu => Whose

Pl. feel free to ask for any clarifications.

NOTES TO ALL:

I'm surprised. Previously my reply to ASKER's question was not recorded / saved / showen here and it was somehow showing me to ANSWER afresh (as if like I hadn't submitted my answer before here and so added my answer here and it shows two answers of my name).

I wonder how above stated things could happen?

May be Proz Kudos / Proz DBA should look into the matter.
