Gujarati term or phrase: mane jo bag ma
now i think this means look in my bag but am not sure
Goldenstat
English translation:This sentence, if complete, would mean ' look at me in the bag'!
Explanation:
Mane - to me / at me
jo - look
bag - bag
ma - in /inside

Apart from the fact that this is obviously not the intended meaning, it is not even the correct way of saying it, if for any reason someone wants to be seen in a bag - the correct way would be to say 'Mane bag ma jo'!

As per your explanation, the correct way of saying 'look in my bag' would be 'mari bag ma jo'
mari - mine as against 'mane' which is 'me' or 'at me / to me'.

Because 'jo' also means 'if' - this sentence could also be an unfinished sentence saying something like ' mane jo bag ma na maley to...' which means 'If I cannot find it in the bag'...

hope this helps!

'mane' also means ' I ' - one says ' mane joiye che' - I want it. 'mane gamey che' - I like it... etc
