Hebrew term or phrase: Company ID number
In a company ID number I have two abbreviations and I need to find out what they stand for.

The number is divided into 3 sections and looks like this:

"samech,bet" Ordinal number "Zayin"
5 000000 23

what do "samech, bet" and "zayin" stand for?

Many thanks,
Suzan

samekh bet is check digit
Explanation:
samekh bet stands for sifrat biqoret, which is usually translated as check digit. I've seen control digit but it sounds like Heblish to me.

No idea about the other one.

Explanation:
samekh bet stands for sifrat bikoret

Zayin might just be the equivalent of the letter G as part of the number.

disagree  Eynat: Sifra= digit, not number, and it's check digit in English.
