The derivatives markets are the financial markets for derivatives. The market can be divided into two, that for exchange traded derivatives and that for over-the-counter derivatives. The legal nature of these products is very different as well as the way they are traded, though many market participants are active in both.
שוק המעו"ף (מכשירים עתידיים ופיננסיים) או שוק הנגזרים הינו שוק של מכשירים פיננסיים הנסחרים בבורסה לניירות ערך בתל אביב, שערכם נגזר מנכס אחר המכונה נכס הבסיס. מכשירים אלה נועדו בעיקר על-מנת לאפשר ניהול סיכונים יעיל, להוות תחליף להשקעה בנכס הבסיס ולהגביר את היעילות הכלכלית של המסחר באופן כללי. המסחר בנגזרים הוא הפעיל ביותר ביחס למסחר במניות ואיגרות חוב, והוא מתבצע באופן רציף וממוחשב לחלוטין במערכת "רצף-נגזרים" מאז אוקטובר 1999. |
